The Future of Indian Cricket Takes Center Stage: JCC Season 7 Concludes in Glory, Season 8 Trials Announced
The roar of the crowd, the precision of a perfect cover drive, and the raw passion of youth – the Junior Cricket Championship (JCC) Season 7 has officially etched its name into the history books of grassroots sports. Presented by the Krishna Apra Group, a titan in the real estate sector, this initiative by OP Sports has become a beacon of hope for aspiring cricketers across Delhi-NCR.
A Season of Grit and Grandeur
Under the visionary leadership of Raj Yadav (Level-1 Cricket Coach and former cricketer), JCC has spent seven years nurturing talent. However, Season 7 – dedicated to the Under-14 category – shattered all previous records of engagement and professionalism.
The journey to the trophy was rigorous. Over 250 young stars were handpicked from a pool of hundreds during four intensive trials held across the region:
- Indirapuram: The talent hunt kicked off at the UBCA Academy.
- Noida: December saw 120 hopefuls showcase their skills.
- Delhi: The historic Jamia Millia Islamia grounds hosted 100 enthusiasts.
- Greater Noida: The final trial at Kasana Sports Complex drew another 100 young cricketers.

From the Bidding War to the Winning Run
In a move that mirrored the scale of international leagues, a Professional Players Draft and Bidding Ceremony was held on January 15, 2026, at the UBCA Cricket Academy. With parents and franchise owners in attendance, 250 boys were drafted into six competing franchises, setting the stage for a high-stakes tournament.
The league commenced in February at the Kasana Sports Complex (Sector-150, Noida), featuring live matches that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. In a nail-biting finale, the Krishna Apra Group showcased immense composure to win the Title and emerge as the undisputed champions of Season 7.

A Powerhouse of Professional Support
The success of JCC is bolstered by a “Who’s Who” of industry experts and patrons who believe in the power of youth sports:
